This is the first upload of the entire Mitchell 5.8 2nd quarter 2007. the total upload will be about 55 gig.
The entire program was installed tested by Uploader ton80rick and is working 100%.
This is Mitchell On Demand 5.8 Repair & Estimator 2nd qtr 2007. If you have On Demand 5.8 with older data installed you just need to update the data. To do this you will need to start OD5 and select "Update Data" with the "Repair 1" dvd in the optical drive or mounted virtually, you will need to do this again with the "Estimator 1" cd. If you have an older version installed You must uninstall it and delete the od5.ini file in C:\windows\ folder since it is not deleted as part of the uninstall. You must do this in order to do a clean install for OD5 to work. You will need to copy both files found in the "Key Files" folder on to a floppy & use it for both repair & estimator installs. If your computer does not have a floppy drive, install a virtual floppy drive and load the floppy image. Both of these are provided for you and are located in the "virtual floppy" folder. This is not a sub******ion so no date *************** will be needed.
There are 10 dvds & 2 cds now, which hold about 55 gigs of data.

I havent actually used the virtual floppy, but it's confirmed working by others...
Once you get the program installed (from the first set you downloaded) you can either burn the data files with alcohol 120 (this is the expensive way as dual layer dvds are pricey) or you can mount the mdf files virtually with alcohol 120 (the mdf files are native to alcohol 120) Now i chose to mount the images (this also nicely puts all 9 or 11 or however many disks there are lol at your fingertips all the time) no need to swap out dvds when the inages are virtually mounted. I even have this running on an external usb hd hooked to an old usb 1.1 port and it works great...
You need to make your new fat32 external hd ntfs...
