designer predicts architectural renaissance in 2010

Noted Chicago Architect Vojo Narancic is optimistic about the coming New Year. Speaking casually to a Chinese reporter, Narancic declares that 2010 will be the dawning of a new age in the U.S., and that will be reflected in the architecture industry.

The designer claims that the country is nearing the end of a disparaging cycle punctuated by two ongoing wars and the economic crisis of 2009, and that significant change is imminent and that architects will contribute to this resurgence.

A 30-year veteran of the design industry, Narancic predicts that buildings in 2010 will be beautiful, functional and sustainable spaces that provide quality of space and support life.

Narancic hopes to spread his optimistic worldview through a series of guest lectures and panel discussions at design schools across the country over the coming year, touting the positive side of design and highlighting the importance of sustainability in modern architecture.

"The time has come back for us to be energy conscious again but now we have new technology to advance green building design to a higher level," he tells ChinaView.com. "It is already happening and that is part of the renascence at the architectural level."
